Engine Goes Photography

Fire service and law enforcement photography by Matthew Johnson

"The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection." ~ Thomas Paine

Welcome to Engine Goes Photography. My name is Matthew Johnson. My many photos of fire apparatus, law enforcement vehicles, real life incidents, and training sessions can be found here. My photos have been featured in publications such as Fire Apparatus Journal,  in manufacturer advertisements, and on department social media.

As you go through my apparatus photos, you may find that I photograph companies with near-identical apparatus. The reason for that is simple - each apparatus holds its own stories and value as a member of its company, no matter how many look the same.

I shoot still photographs with a Canon Rebel T3 DSLR Camera and edit with Corel Paintshop Pro 2019 software. Videos are recorded with a GoPro Hero 7 Black and edited with Adobe Premiere Pro 2019.

Unsatisfied with one of my photos? No problem! Just contact me about a setting up a re-shoot!

I can be contacted by email at EngineGoesPhotography@aol.com or on Facebook by messaging the Engine Goes Photography page at www.facebook.com/enginegoesphotography.

As you navigate the site, you will find that everything is relatively organized. The links at the top of each page will usually serve as your main guide throughout the site.

Clicking on a featured photo on the Homepage will bring you straight to that photo in its folder.

Green, usually-italicized, text are links that bring you directly to that page/folder, as is the case in the Updates Section of the Homepage.

At the bottom of the Homepage, you will find an embedded YouTube video. YouTube is my main medium for videos and that embedded video will be the most recent. Also at the bottom of the Homepage, you will find the latest photo added to the website.

The brand-colored boxes at the bottom of each page and top of the Homepage will bring you to EGP's Facebook and YouTube pages, respectively.

Please report any problems with the site and they will be dealt with as quickly as possible.

I hope you enjoy the site!
